About the Band

- DRIVE play rock music. DRIVE is a rock band. DRIVE have two cd's: Blink and Jehovah's Witness Protection Program.

- DRIVE have been playing, writing, recording, touring, eating, drinking, being way too loud, and generally making a spectacle of themselves for about ten years. Sean describes the band: "It's rock music. And it sounds like rock music." He habitually crucifies his left-handed Telecaster (once lobbing it twenty feet straight up and then leaving the stage before impact!), while Chris and Adam thunder out the bottom end at speeds approaching unsafe, pausing only to hurl sarcasms at each other, the audience, the bar, or no one in particular. All three members sing, all three members write; hell, they even used to live together!

- DRIVE emerge from Newfoundland with a distinct heavy rock attitude far removed from the ‘East Coast' alternative sound. With two CMW and ECMA appearances, one NXNE show, SummerSault '98, and on six tours with performances from Vancouver to St. John's to Wilno, Ontario, DRIVE have earned a reputation as a fast and furious, high energy, live act.

- DRIVE can be found on the COVER STORY compilation running down the Bung classic DIVISION..... they also played a set at the Alice Online webcast, and you can still check it out by clicking right here!

Here's what "they" say about DRIVE....

"This power trio writes good, plays great, and sing really well too! These guys are thermal people and will very probably be the hottest band to come out of the Canadian scene since B.T.O. cut wax." - fax, halifax, apr. 94

"Their newest album is sensational."- the newfoundland herald, jul. 97

"(Jehovah) should bring the power rock trio the recognition it deserves. You can choose from a variety of musical definitions of Drive - all you need to know is that these three kick musical butt. 'Jehovah' delivers the band's live sound into your living room."- the express, jul. 97

"This album is proof they have what it takes to become a national name, not to mention a MuchMusic favorite. And if that's the case, it's darned well about time."- the evening telegram, jul. 97

"For my money, the best unsigned band in Canada" - mike campbell, mucheast, feb. 98
