Drive - Blink

- The first full length CD from Newfoundland's DRIVE, originally released in 1995, is now available again! BLINK was the album that introduced DRIVE to the rest of Canada. Contains the first three singles 3 O'Clock Drunk, Wake Up She Said, and live favourite Pavlov's Dog.

- BLINK has already sold over 1000 copies across Canada and was nominated for Alternative Album of the year at the 1996 East Coast Music Awards!

- DRIVE emerge from Newfoundland with a distinct heavy rock attitude far removed from the ‘East Coast' alternative sound. With two CMW, three ECMA, and one NXNE show, and on tour from Vancouver to their hometown, St. John's, DRIVE have earned a reputation as a fast and furious, high energy, live act.

"The St. John's rock trio, who defy and defile petty pigeonholing, have produced an intense album of straight ahead, guitar driven music." - the express, jan 96

"Every song on Blink screams with integrity. Intelligent puns, classical allusions, well turned phrases - it's pure poetry." - bruce brenton, cbc radio, oct 95

"This is rock and roll, lean and simple. Hard guitar riffs, solid bass effects and often intricate drumming provide the basis for the band's lyric explorations." - the evening telegram, nov 95

"All of the songs on BLINK are prime cuts." - the record, toronto, june 96

"Not a trace of pseudo-intellectual drivel can be found anywhere... every song strikes like standing in front of a 14 ton bus at the wrong time. Why doesn't every band move to a rather secluded island and become better songwriters?" - the coast, halifax, feb 97
