- Produced by Ross Murray and recorded in the bands own underground gym/recording studio, and featuring classics-to-be like "Employee of the Month", "Two Steps", and "Fur Packed Anthem", this is the soundtrack to the party of your life, and every passion and dilemna you hold close.

- To ensure the listener is down for the count, FPA follow the studio portion of the album with an interactive party that you navigate on your PC. it includes video footage, sound clips, Quicktime VR's, animations, action figures, and even a board game you can print out. For the kids.

- FPA can be found on the COVER STORY compilation, putting the sleeper hold on Dog Meat BBQ's "Dance of the Flaming Assholes".... they recently returned from a successful tour that brought them from St. John's to Ottawa and all points in between.

Here's what "they" say about FPA....

"Psychedelic, pschotropic, funk, punk, rock 'n' roll, slip 'n' fall, jammin', rammin', jam-jammin', swing, ska, reggae, rap, Beastie Boys meets Vanilla Ice in his dreams meets Elvis Costello - pick a term, any term and it will do just as well to try to describe this aural kaleidoscope. In my opinion, this is the album of the year..... it is unique, never been seen, never been heard before, driving, grab-your-brain-stem-and-hang-on kind of music." - the evening telegram, dec. 98

"The Dull Thud of Fur is full of nervy, emotional rock and roll full of sharp hooks and some unexpected touches....." - halifax chronicle herald, feb. 99

"(Jody) Richardson.... is blessed with an expressive, precise vocal style and a charismatic manner. His bandmates - Geoff Younghusband and Barry Newhook - are both seasoned musicians from St. John's iconoclastic alternative scene. Their combined talents and unorthodox approach make The Dull Thud of Fur a sonic adventure of the first order. The heady mix of tape effects, frantic pop, crunchy alternative guitar textures, and frenzied performance make the album sound like Frank Zappa duking it out with The Ramones in Brian Wilson's sandbox." - halifax daily news, mar. 99

"If the rest of the Canadian pop-music scene got its shit together, it might end up somewhere approaching Fur-Packed Action for amusement and sheer versatility." - the coast, mar. 99

"FPA possess those mad skills that most of us slackers only dream about. Its fun, its intense, and its lousy with talent." - what's going on, apr. 99

"FPA is a creative powerhouse. Whenever I started to play this CD, either my cat would make a beeline for the wall or I would quickly become agitated and kick him out of the room. Either way, there was the dull THUD of fur." - atlantic gig, may 99
